Yeah, I know -this site has nothing to do with rap music (Except from our Black Mafia Family article)- but since the stats tell us that a lot of people come here looking for “Three Six Mafia Music“, we decided to run an article about it and learn some in the process.
Three 6 Mafia (formerly known as “Triple 6 Mafia”) is an American Rap group from Memphis. Born in 1991, the original band members were DJ Paul, Lord Infamous, and Juicy J. Three Six Mafia’s 2005 song “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp”, won Best Original Song at the Academy Awards.
There are a few typical controversies around the band and their music with “Satanic imagery controversy” and disputes with other rappers.
Three Six Mafia’s Music has been featured in a few films (none of them good in my opinion):
- Hustle & Flow (2005)
- Jackass Number Two (2006)
- Rocky Balboa (2006)
- Jackass 2.5 (2007)
Their music is also in several tv series and video games (again, none of them too good…)
All in all, their music is pretty good and their award winning song is specially good (check it out below)

by Three 6 Mafia fans and even Amazon has trouble keeping up with CD’s stock.
